Huyton Asphalt was appointed by Willmott Dixon as part of the major development of the Merseyside Police Headquarters based on Rose Hill, Liverpool.
THE SOLUTION
The development was designed as a sustainable build to meeting the latest standards in energy
efficiency. Huyton Asphalt shares this environmental commitment and recommended the use of HALO in the surfacing of the site. We are committed to working with our partners to provide sustainable, environmentally improved materials as an alternative to conventional asphalts. HALOTM is a low temperature base and binder containing recycled materials which was laid on this scheme.
In addition to our base and binder materials, Huyton Asphalt also laid HALOTM RubberPave on site. HALOTM RubberPave is our innovative material that contains granulated rubber processed from UK waste tyres with Huyton Asphalt’s warm mix technology to provide an environmentally sustainable asphalt with a reduced carbon footprint.
