Huyton Asphalt was appointed by Liverpool City Council to complete the outstanding works at Kingsley Road. The development was designed as a sustainable build to meet the latest standards in energy efficiency. Huyton Asphalt shared this environmental commitment and recommended the use of HALOTM in the surfacing of the site. We are committed to working with our partners to provide sustainable, environmentally improved materials as an alternative to conventional asphalts. HALO™ is a low-temperature base and binder containing recycled materials that were laid on the project.
In addition to our base and binder materials, Huyton Asphalt also laid HALOTM RubberPave+ on-site – a Clause 942 BBA HAPAS Approved Thin Surfacing System. HALOTM RubberPave+ is our innovative material containing granulated rubber processed from UK waste tyres with Huyton Asphalt’s warm mix technology to provide an environmentally sustainable asphalt with a reduced carbon footprint.
